I'm delighted to be working exclusively with a Social Purpose Company based in Sheffield with strong links across the city to primary care within the NHS.

The organisation have coverage across Sheffield providing primary care to over half a million people, overseeing a large number of primary care providers who act as the shareholders for the organisation alongside direct oversight of a small number of these providers.

Your new role
Following the retirement of the existing incumbent, my client are seeking to appoint a permanent replacement Strategic Finance Manager to work closely with and act as a 'right hand person' to the Director of Finance, who is an excellent line manager with outstanding experience in public sector finance, providing a truly supportive management experience.

This is a highly appealing, well-rounded Finance Manager role with substantial challenge and variety to make the position suitable to an ambitious individual who wants to continue their career development or take a 'sideways step' into a diverse strategic senior finance role.

The role includes leading on all aspects of finance support to the organisation and ensuring the organisation has clear and robust financial governance arrangements. You will be responsible for the provision of financial information to the Board, Executive and Budget Manager leads and provision of information to external commissioning organisations.

Alongside this, you will lead on the preparation of Annual Accounts in liaison with the appointed Accountants and provide management information to support the delivery of services to the by the organisation, whilst also being a member of the Management Team for services delivered by the organisation whilst deputising / cross cover outside of the Finance department as required.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with experience and expertise in financial management.
You will have led and managed both within and across an organisation, and although previous NHS experience would be desirable it is not essential.

You will be competent in the use of MS Office suite of products, particularly Powerpoint, Word and Excel, with strong business partnering skills to work with both financial and non-financial stakeholders within the organisation effectively, demonstrating commercial acumen, flexibility and adaptability throughout the role.

What you'll get in return
Salary: £53,000 - £60,000 p/a depending on experience
NHS pension and holiday entitlement ranging between 25-30 days + statutory entitlement depending on duration of service, alongside healthcare benefits.
You'll be given a wide range of responsibility and some strong career development opportunities.

Flexible working is available with this role and is currently being formalised, however will be available for c.2/3 days per week where required.
