Financial Accounting Manager

Your new company
Hays are working exclusively with a large national constructional business that pride themselves on working collaboratively, to deliver large scale projects across the UK. Their finance team is currently expanding due to excellent company performance and are in search of a technically strong Financial Accounting Manager to join their team.

Your new role
The role will be reporting into the Financial Controller and will lead the accounting team dealing with all statutory requirements and support the financial reporting process. Specifically:

• Balance sheet control
• Overhead management
• Developing financial controls
• Statutory reporting 2 statutory entities.
• Year end preparation to IFRS accounting standards
• Management of a team of 4 finance support staff
• Work with the Financial Reporting Manager to ensure a smooth and accurate month end and forecast process.

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours a week but exact working hours can be negotiated. Flexible working is available in this role with up to 3 days a week working from home. Occasional travel to Watford is also required (typically once a quarter).

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA, who has previous management experience, including demonstrable skills in training and developing a strong team. You must be commercially aware and who capable of liaising with, supporting and influencing operational / commercial management. Construction industry experience would be an ideal but not essential but you must be able to produce high quality management information and be computer literate with strong excel skills, plus have experience of Causeway , Oracle and Hyperion (preferred).
