GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager, the accounts payable is responsible for managing the company accounts payable process and function in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This supports the daily management of the accounts payable processes associated with the payment of invoices, ensuring the accuracy of the entire process as it relates to vendor payment, processing of purchase orders, receiving, invoices and payment of invoices, and communication with buyers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist in payment of invoices, vendor payments and purchase orders.
· Communicates activities to the Accounting manager.
· Ensures all negotiated contracts are paid as agreed upon.
· Maintains immaculate records.
· Perform a variety of general clerical duties, including telephone reception, and other routine functions.
· Ensure strict confidentiality of financial records.
· Aid Accounting Manager and Controller and as needed.
· Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the department is operated in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum four years of high volume A/P experience.
· Bachelor's degree preferred.
· Must be familiar with word processing software.
· Must be able to type a minimum of 60 words per minute.
· Must have strong organizational skills.
