Description

Applies financial policies, guidelines, protocols and controls to ensure the company complies with all regulations and good financial practice Develops and delivers a plan to ensure the financial management and control of the business unit Supports the local leadership team to translate business objectives into clearly defined business cases, costs and schedules to support business growth Uses data from a wide range of sources to analyse key themes and identify possible impacts on the business and routes to financial improvement Monitors key performance indicators, highlights trends and variances and recommends actions to improve; develops and delivers contingency plans to manage and mitigate financial risk

Plans and delivers financial systems changes and manages the local finance team to meet regulatory reporting and project timelines, delivering all outputs to cost and quality standards Engages with the local business unit leadership team to identify issues, challenges and opportunity for improvement. Works with that team to design and implement appropriate solutions As part of the divisional Finance leadership team, contributes to the formation of divisional finance policy and strategy. Provides specialist expertise and insight to ensure that the emerging functional finance strategy meets business needs Provides specialist advice on the interpretation and application of finance policies and procedures, resolves complex or contentious queries and issues, enabling others to take appropriate actions

Communicates the actions needed to implement the divisional finance strategy and business plan within the team.Manages and reports on the performance of the business unit; sets appropriate performance objectives for functional or project reports and holds them accountable for achieving these. Takes appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team and personal objectives
