Exciting opportunity for a Project Management Accountant to join a a market leading organisation
Overview:
Our Financial Services client is seeking for a Project Management Accountant. Located in Melbourne, this is a Permanent, full-time, position.
The Project Management Accountant provides accounting / finance support to all stages of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Sponsors, developing business case and maintaining project costing model
- Provide monthly project costing calculations, ensuring alignment with AIFRS
- Provide monthly cost detail
- Maintain project portfolio forecast
- Assist Project Managers and Business Units' Heads with project forecasting
- Ensure accurate maintenance of project codes in systems
- Monitor WIP balance with financial accounting team to ensure transfer to fixed assets register
- Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained for financial statement audits
- Project Fee for Service pricing
- Provide project pricing for Retirement & Superannuation and Solutions (R&SS) multi-fund projects
- Participate in presenting project pricing to stakeholders
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent inter-personal and influencing skills
- Experience dealing with Business Unit Heads and Managers of subsidiaries
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
- Results driven approach and focus on delivering full year financial targets
- Strong numerical and problem resolution skills
- High level of work ethic and be a real team player
- Good knowledge of AIFRS (interpretation and application)
- CA/CPA qualified and relevant University degree
