Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and rapidly growing Agricultural business looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced permanent Accountant based in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire. A successful and well-established business, where you will report directly into the Finance Director and work alongside a hands-on finance team. This position is open to part-qualified, qualified or qualified by experience finance professionals who really want to add value and support business growth. You will be given the opportunity to improve and develop processes/systems as well as your own professional development.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve management accounting and business partnering to support various parts of the Group. Monthly cashflow and profitability reporting, annual budgeting, and financial reporting along with KPI reporting, performance analysis and regular interaction with the operational management teams. You will oversee the work of the finance administration assistant to ensure accurate timely reporting, be involved in project evaluation and decision support. You will have significant daily exposure to the finance director and the business owners. What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this exciting and hands-on Accountant opportunity, you will need experience within a similar role. Part-qualified or Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience with excellent communication skills, flexible and adaptable approach, and strong MS Excel skills. You will be driven and dynamic, used to meeting deadlines and managing your own workloads, along with being able to assist in process/system improvement. Experience of agricultural accounting would be advantageous but not essential.
