Description

You will have oversight of the entire finance function, whilst managing your team of 6 finance professionals. We are looking for a strong team player who will play both a leadership and supportive role to their team. You will need to foster clear and open communication with your stakeholders to understand and meet their needs, on a monthly basis. Your communication skills will be tested further in regular meetings with the board to present the organisation's financial position. Finally, you will be required to lead on year-end, produce the statutory accounts and liaise with the external auditors.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Overseeing the production of the monthly management accounts
• Providing commentary on the management accounts and presenting it to the senior management team
• Leading on year- end
• Leading on the production of the statutory accounts
• Liaising with external auditors
• Challenging existing working practices to identifies possible areas of improvement
• Managing and supporting 6 members of the finance team

Profile

It is essential that the successful candidate is a qualified accountant; please note we cannot consider applicants unless they are ACA, ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, qualified.

• Experience in a financial accounting role
• Exposure to the management accounts
• Experience managing at least 1 individual
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in the not-for-profit sector.
