An opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a well-established, prime property developer/manager based in their central London offices.
Client Details
My client is a global property firm who have been in the market for over 100 years developing/investing in grade A assets and with a headcount approaching over 4000 staff across 4 distinct businesses.
This role is based on their UK property business with their HQ in central London.
Description
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant will be responsible for:
- Preparation/assistance with management accounts and review of balance sheet on a monthly basis
- Supporting the external audit process and the preparation of the financial statements
- Assist in the preparation of annual budget and monthly monitoring
- Processing month end and other ad-hoc journals
- Posting of entity level purchase invoices
- Maintain accounting records of non-trading companies
- Ensuring tax filing and compliance is maintained in accordance with HRMC deadlines for corporation tax, VAT and CIS
- Review of quarterly VAT returns
- Monthly review of service charge cost and irrecoverable cost
- Review and recommendation of invoices (in line with service agreements) for payment approvals
- Preparation of monthly cashflow
- Ad-hoc projects
Profile
The successful Management Accountant candidate will have the following:
- Fully qualified accountant with either ACA/ACCA/CIMA - likely 2-3 years PQE
- Experience both with IFRS & UK GAAP/FRS 102 desirable
- Experience in the real estate and property sector highly desirable
- Yardi system experience desirable
- Good attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Work well in a small team environment and able to work independently

This role will have the flexibility to work 2/3 days from home but the initial few months in the role will be more office-based in order to facilitate the on-boarding process.
