Newly created position supporting the performance of SA business unit
My client is a leading logistics provider and with a national presence. Due to recent growth and extra business demands they are currently looking for further support for its SA operations and branches to better understand its financial, commercial and operational outcomes. They have a clear corporate vision, an experienced management team, and with a strong outlook for 2021 and beyond. They are now looking for an Accountant or Commercial Analyst to join the business in the role of Commercial/State Accountant providing support for their fast paced operations.

As a Commercial/State Accountant you will assist and support branch management understand the financial performance of their business including:

• Preparation of weekly financial performance cost reports
• Analysis of daily, weekly, monthly financial and operational KPI's.
• Advise local branch management on performance assessment, remediation, and management
• Advocate process improvement and implementation of group processes
• Preparation of capital expenditure business cases
• Liaising with the group finance team as required
• Preparation of the annual budget for local branch and forecasts
• Assist in branch and/or group financial reporting
• Support internal and external audits

The attributes and experience we are looking for in a candidate are:

• Strong technical accounting knowledge with either a completed CPA/CA
• Strong Microsoft EXCEL skills
• 3 years' experience in a commercial analyst or accountant position
• Strong written and verbal communication with demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
• Proactive approach to your work with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Previous ERP exposure
• Pragmatic attitude and able to work collaboratively in a dynamic and changing environment
