SUMMARY: The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the month-end process, preparing financial reports, assisting with audits, and a wide range of duties handled by the accounting department. The right candidate would have a solid foundation in accounting and a tenacious work ethic. This position plays a key role in the accounting department's continued effort to maintain clean books and records, comply with accounting/tax and other regulations, provide accurate financial reports, and develop and enhance internal controls.

POSITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the month-end close process by preparing and posting journal entries and reconciling the bank and other balance sheet accounts
  • Actively participate in the preparation of the Monthly Business Review (MBR) for Senior Management and Operation Managers
  • Complete daily cash reporting, maintain records for bank accounts and related activities
  • Administer the accounting and workflow of expense reports within Concur/Liquid
  • Combine analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports
  • Interface with the finance team and select businesspeople to drive a better understanding of financial results
  • Provide information and recommendations to management by assembling and summarizing data; prepare reports; make presentations of findings and analysis
  • Assist with year-end audit
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns
  • Complete Census surveys and other governmental reporting accurately and by due dates
  • Ensure all accounting is done to policy and/or make policy change/improvement recommendations
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is preferred

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Related
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting; manufacturing experience preferred
  • CPA license a plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers whose first language is English

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum travel required.


Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm - with possible schedule changes as needed.
