About your Position:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our team in our Auckland office. The purpose of the Accounts payable officer is to conduct 3 main functions. These are: Deliver superior invoice processing capabilities with accuracy as a core deliverable, Provide support to the AP team for coverage of functional responsibilities and Work in a collaborative manner to deliver departmental KPI measures.

What you will be doing in this role:

  • Utilisation of MILES and Oracle for document processing of all journal types with high degree of accuracy and problem solving.
  • Timely correspondence to internal and external supplierson invoice queries.
  • Manage AP email inbox and ensure that incoming and outgoing mail is attended to promptly.
  • Ensure that incoming calls are managed in a professional manner utilising active listening skills.
  • Reconciliation of creditor accounts.
  • Involvement in team meetings and activities.
  • Always adhere to the Fleet Partners Values and Code of Conduct and in all dealings with internal and external parties
  • Assist with reconciling AP trading bank accounts, NZ operating and NZ Trust
  • Adhere to all company's policies and procedures including leave management
  • Support the AP manager with other duties as required

What we need from you:

  • Experience in accounts payable or reconciliations environment
  • Experience in a high volume processing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a high degree of customer service excellence to external and internal customers
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to deliver to deadlines
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to liaise with team members and staff across the business to achieve desired results
  • Ability to work co-operatively in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and numeric reasoning
  • Time management and prioritisation skills
  • Working knowledge of computer software e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Desired

  • Leasing or vehicle industry experience will be considered advantageous
  • Degree in a finance-related course is desirable but not essential
  • Desire to understand vehicles, the industry and our service offerings.
