Your new company

Your new company is a leading retail PLC with operations in 3 distinct areas: High Street, Online and Travel. The business has of course been impacted over the last 12 months, however, due to robust compliance, audit and risk programmes being in place - they have withstood any major damage, and are now coming back very strongly and are keen to make sure the business continues to have a strong governance package.


Your new role

In your new role, you will be reporting to the Head of Audit & Risk, working closely with him initially to upskill in the DPO and Compliance areas before then looking to fully own this piece within 12 months. You will have a reporting line to the Board for DPO responsibilities and Head of Audit & Risk for the compliance piece.

As a business with multiple revenue streams - you will need to be able to work across all of these ensuring GDPR and Data Governance measures are suitable for these different areas, working with local resources where necessary due to the international nature of the business.


What you'll need to succeed

• Experience across Compliance, having dealt with GDPR
• Prior exposure to a listed business would be ideal but not a pre-requisite
• Knowledge within Audit and Risk would be a bonus
• European languages would be a bonus
• Ability to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
