Payroll and Finance Officer
Full time & Permanent - Hybrid work pattern!
Swansea
£22-25,000 per annum

This is a great role; at a time when many businesses are returning to 100% office based work, this business are promoting a flexible hybrid working pattern for their Finance and Admin team!! They will support you with the tools and training to split your time between their Swansea site (great out of town location with free parking and lots of nearby lunch options!!) and your home office...... these people have been working throughout the pandemic and perfecting their systems to deliver a seamless service to their huge and ever expanding client base..... you will be joining them in a time of strength; the business has come through the last 18 months in style and is now looking to the future.

There will be plenty of variety in your role, lots of short and longer term projects to keep you entertained but the key areas will be processing payroll for a large workforce (great T&A system in place and plenty of automation tools to make your job easier, but you will need a good understanding of end to end payroll process and some good experience) Sales and Purchase ledger management, journals and months end work. you will also get the opportunity to contribute to the weekly/monthly reporting and analysis..... particularly in respect to labour spend and staffing costs, so some previous experience in a highly commercial team will be key!

You will need to be organised, efficient, highly numerate and have a great eye for detail. You will also need a good understanding of financial and accounting process and procedure as well as the tenacity to see a task through to a successful conclusion. I see this as a superb opportunity for ACCA/AAT studiers, although the role will lend itself well to strong QBE candidates as well. You will need to be a commutable distance from Swansea..... although this role will allow you to work from home for a good chunk of the week, you will be office based for induction and 2/3 days per week..... this is not suitable for fully remote workers!
