The Company

My client is a privately owned entrepreneurial fintech company based in Newmarket. The company was started in 2012 and has been growing significantly with 20-30% growth rates year over year. With no end in sight, the company is looking to add an additional head to the team and are recruiting for this CFO position. The company is unique and can offer a special place to work. There is a strong culture that sets them apart and is distinctive which has been the building blocks of the success of the company. This cultural fit will be imperative for the successful candidate.

The Role

The role of CFO is not necessarily an atypical CFO role due to the unique service offering of this business. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Strong modelling and data analytics capability.
  • Effectively manage the treasury function
  • Mentoring and developing a core finance team
  • Playing an active part on the SLT and providing strategic input to the advisory Board and owners
  • Enhance & extend their key relationships with banking partners, investment partners and the IRD
  • Be responsible for forecasting - demand & supply, financial forecasting, cashflow forecasting
  • Drive creative and innovative process improvement and analytics, including risk mitigation
  • Provide financial insights and understand key drivers for the business with the future in mind
  • Provide full oversight of a cohesive finance function

Skills & Experience

There are three core skills that are forefront of mind on this role. They are:
  • Strong data modelling and analytical capability
  • Strong Treasury management
  • An ability to work in an entrepreneurial agile fashion as this business is continuing to evolve and change.

Culture & Benefits

My client has a strong focus on doing business in a way that is better for the good of all and bring a strong social conscience to the business world. They want to show what it means for a business to lead with purpose and place people first. They live and breathe their values and this truly does make it a unique place to work. You will be offered flexibility, WFH, carparking, a great office environment. In return, they want you to add to the culture and help build something special.
