About the role
We are a not-for-profit organisation providing apartments that are socially, financially and environmentally sustainable. We believe that homes should be built for people, not profit. This newly created, permanent full-time opportunity reports to our Head of Operations. We are looking for an experienced accountant with drive and a willingness to help with general operations. Importantly, if you join the Nightingale team ... to join our small team and help achieve our ambitious goals!

What you'll be doing

• Managing the Nightingale Housing P&L, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls & statutory obligations .
• Oversee & manage business support functions, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with management of Nightingale project finance and project accounting.
• Supporting our Head of Investments at key times of capital raising and site acquisition.
• Lead commercial analysis, business modelling & provision of financial insights and reporting to drive management decision making.

Skills & Experience
We want to hear from people who have:

• Significant expertise in financial management and financial control processes, commercial management, insight driven analysis and modelling.
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent) and significant relevant professional experience
• An understanding of the property, construction or NFP sectors would be highly regarded.
• Hands on approach and solution focused
• Excellent problem solving and analytical reasoning; able to manage uncertainty, risk and complexity
• Well honed stakeholder management, including partnering, influencing and communication skills
