The role of Adaptive System Accountant is to manage day to day Adaptive system issues and month end processes. To assist in managing system access, develop work flows, document key processes, and providing technical support for users across the wider group
Preparation of Adaptive for key business cycles e.g. month end rollover, budget process etc. Manage data import, data cleansing, and data maintenance efforts
Provide help-desk assistance to users across institute - by troubleshooting and quickly resolving issues with Adaptive and integration elements as they arise and when necessary coordinate with Adaptive support on issues that cannot be resolved internally
Perform day-to-day administration and monitoring of the Adaptive system, including system access for all users and role
In conjunction with the Adaptive Solution Architect, manage configuration changes to fields, workflows, roles/permissions, page layouts, custom objects, reports and dashboards
To provide coaching to team members with less experience and technical knowledge to enable them to become more proficient and able to work more independently and provide technical support service to other support staff.
Maintain any Adaptive integration with other business systems such as UBW, CoreHR etc.
Fully document and maintain existing and new customisation's, work flows & processes
Ensure system compliance with Company policies, procedures and protocols for system standards, customisation's and changes
Provide formal training to end users.
Dealing with technical problems during critical periods of the finance calendar to ensure system availability, that finance data is rolled forward and loaded correctly between finance systems, finance information is being reported accurately.
This role requires a high degree of communication and people skills to deal with the user community.
Must be able to react quickly to change of user & management requirements.
Continually developing systems to enhance the use of technology and analytics to meet the evolving needs of the organisation, whilst providing comprehensive user support and training.
Hands-on experience in Workday Insights
Significant experience in Workday Report writing
Significant experience in Financial Budgeting and Planning with Adaptive Insight
High level of problem solving/analytical skills
Experience of delivering a high quality customer focused IT support service
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all levels of management & staff
High degree of initiative and self-motivation
Ability to effectively explain technical issues to non technical users.
Ability actively question and listen to be able to problem solve
Knowledge of daily IT operations (networks, backups, maintenance routines)
