Hays are pleased to be working in exclusive partnership with a well established and successful business in Telford to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to their team in Telford

Your new role
You will be working as part of a small accounting team with duties including:

• Cash Flow forecast
• Preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Bank reconciliations, profit and loss, accruals and prepayments
• Timely and accurate processing of BS reconciliations and reporting at company and consolidated level
• Fixed Assets
• Annual Statutory Account Reconciliations
• Assisting FC with budget preparations, management and monthly reporting
• Assisting the FC with annual audits and audit file preparation
• Cost management
• Contributing to a clear focus on driving improvements in quality, impact and performance.

What you'll need to succeed
This is an exciting opportunity that would be suitable for an Assistant Accountant looking for their next step on the Accounting career ladder who may be studying ACCA/ CIMA (or AAT Qualified and looking to start CIMA/ ACCA) or a very experienced individual who has the experience but is not looking to study at this stage.
Either way you should be

• Highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence.
• Must have experience working within a fast-paced environment
• Ability and flexibility to work under pressure and to tight reporting deadlines
• Structured, organised, detail orientated with ability to prioritise tasks
• Strong Excel skills)
