Ambassador Personnel is hiring for a part time Accounts Payable Specialist in the Pinckard, AL area. This is a great opportunity with a growing company.

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities:

- Assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests

- Verifies accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents

- Circulate invoices for department head approvals

- Sort, code and post into accounting system

- Track expenses and process employee expense reports

- Prepare and process weekly check runs and mail checks

- Monitor accounts to ensure up to date payments within vendor terms

- Reconcile subledger to general ledger

- Maintain vendor and expense report files (A/P documents, payments, W-9)

- Research and resolve discrepancies and issues

- Correspond with vendors, respond to inquiries, reconcile vendor statements

- Reconcile credit card receipts and statements

- Prepare monthly sales and use tax information, reconcile general ledger accounts

- Preparation of annual 1099 reporting

- Compiles data and prepares a variety of weekly and monthly reports

- Assist with month-end and year-end close process

- Responsible for record retention

- Maintain confidentiality of organizational information

- Process credit card payments and reports

- Maintain customer and supplier information

Skills:

- Good organization and time management, detailed, reliable

- Excellent written and verbal skills

- Good interpersonal and communication skills, good judgement

- Experience with ERP software systems a plus, but not a requirement

- Knowledge of MSOffice software packages, esp. Excel

- Knowledge of accounting principles and basic bookkeeping - chart of accounts, basic debit/credit entry, accruals, deferrals, understanding of AP match for receiving PO invoices.

- German language skills an asset but not a requirement

Minimum 3 years of experience. This individual will also be the backup to the Accounting & Finance Manager. Purchasing Administrative Assistant
