Outstanding opportunity for an immediately available Project Accountant to join high-calibre team in a growing global business
This exciting opportunity will suit an experienced Project Accountant who will be energised by the opportunity to join a high-calibre finance team in a large, growing, global business ($30b globally and $2b in ANZ) which is about to "step change" in scale and market share.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in providing high quality, accurate, and value adding data to the Operations Management team to ensure the successful delivery of major projects. The role is responsible for the monthly accounting and reporting of individual projects to ensure financial performance is properly monitored and controlled on a timely basis.

You will:

• Ensure compliance of the financial components with the head project agreements.
• Deliver accurate and timely monthly project reports.
• Prepare timely and effectively budgeting and forecasting, identifying potential financial risks and issues through variance analysis.
• Prepare costing models and identify potential cost savings.
• Manage project asset registers, including approval and disposal of assets.
• Ensure that monthly services are invoices accurately and on time.
• Review submission of client payment claims in accordance with contract terms.
• Review and ensure costs are calculated, recorded, allocated and recharged as per contracts.
• Be the single contact point for project finance matters.

We are looking for:

• A graduate and CA or CPA qualified accountant, with an understanding and application of project accounting principles from a large complex business.
• Experience in budget and forecast preparation.
• Experience in financial analysis and commentary.
• Experience in preparation of client progress claims and an understanding of client contract terms and conditions.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
• Advantageous is experience with SAP.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills.

This role will be offered on a 3-6-Month contract basis initially, so you should be available immediately, it is likely to extend to 12 months has the potential to be on going.
