This reputable manufacturer partners with some of the largest local and international companies. They have a solid history of operating over the last 30+ years.

A recent restructure has led to the creation of new position for an experienced Payroll/Accountant to work with their close knit finance team on a part time basis.

Reporting to the CFO, this role is varied. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

Payroll
  • Weekly payroll for approximately 200 employees
  • Interpretation of relevant awards and EBA's
  • Management of newly implemented Rostering/Time and Attendance system
  • Onboarding new employees
  • Maintenance of employee details
  • Processing and calculating long service leave and termination payments
  • Month end Payroll Tax, and Superannuation
  • Payroll Queries
  • Payroll reports

Finance and Accounting
  • Assisting CFO with Month End and Year End
  • Bank Account reconciliations
  • Responsible for the timely processing of Account reconciliations, as directed by CFO
  • Back up for -Preparing Sales Invoices from dispatch delivery dockets, and sending paperwork to clients.
  • Back Up for - Timely and accurate set up and maintenance Debtors details.
  • Back up for - Posting of all receipts to debtors accounts.
  • Assist with the follow up on overdue payments, via email or phone.
  • Back up - for the preparation and sending of customer statements to confirm timing and all end of month customer payments
  • Assist with write off and trial invoices
  • Assist with Credits for clients

To be successful in this role you will have had previous experience in an end to end payroll, ideally within a manufacturing environment. You will be systems savvy and have a passion for knowing the "why" when it comes to systems so you can then train others.

This is a role that is ideal for someone who has previously supported a CFO, in either an Accountant or Accounts all round capacity. You may be degree qualified or qualified by experience and are now wanting to work part time hours. The hours are flexible, it may suit someone wanting to work school hours, or possibly to compliment a work/life balance. You will have excellent communication skills and a great sense of team and sense of humour!
