Great opportunity for a Company Accountant / Financial Controller to join a growing company. Central CBD location.
We're looking for an experienced Company Accountant / Financial Controller to join our growing team.

You'll ideally have all round experience in an autonomous accounts role of a construction company and must be proficient using Xero across multiple entities.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Maintain cash position, reconciliation of bank, credit cards and bank guarantees
• Prepare Monthly Payroll and PAYG, quarterly BAS and annual tax payment report
• Reconciliation of bank, credit cards and bank guarantees
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports
• Submit yearly financial report, Income Tax and FBT Tax
• Generating monthly invoices in Xero
• Tracking time billable, staff utilisation and employee expenses
• Tracking project cost codes, budgets and forecasts against fee proposals and estimates.
• Processing monthly Accounts Payable and Receivables
• Maintain Asset Registers, Leasing agreements and Service providers accounts

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position
• Ideally relevant industry experience (construction, engineering or design)
• Experience using Xero is essential.
• Experience using Civilpro or similar construction software is desirable.
• Ability to work autonomously
• Commercially savvy with an understanding of direct & indirect costs
