The Quantitative Analyst is responsible for helping develop asset allocation proposals primarily for pension plans and insurance entities.Key Responsibilities / DutiesModelling of various types of complex liability streams from pension plans and insurance clientsDetailed design of asset allocation proposals within the context of liabilities (i.e. cash flow matched, factor matched etc.)Seamlessly analyze and evaluate portfolios from both a factor lens and asset class lensDevelop and maintain various reports to be shared with both retail and institutional clientsDesign and maintain procedures and tools that make data management and research more efficientFormulate new ideas for research that will help enhance frameworks and toolsFollow academic research and industry trends so as to constantly incorporate best practicesWork closely with various teams across the organization but most specifically with the Institutional Strategists in the EMEA regionAttract, develop, and retain team talent.Work Experience / KnowledgeSeven years of experience working with pension and/or insurance clients. Local UK market knowledge and experience is required. Experience in other EMEA region countries is preferredSome previous supervisory/leadership and project management experience preferredExcellent ability to translate abstract principles into systematic algorithmic representationsExperience working on live client engagements, formulating client ready solution proposalsVery strong attention to detail with internal drive to sanity check and triangulate resultsExcellent knowledge of statistics and optimizationExperience in programming in languages such as Python, R or MatlabExperience managing and manipulating large data sets and working with databasesExcellent interpersonal skills with ability to work with individuals of various backgroundsAbility to effectively coordinate projects between various teamsPassion to deliver excellent workFormal EducationDegree in quantitative disciplines such as engineering, computer science, operations research, or econometrics is required.
