Controller/Commercial Analyst

Your new role
You will spend approx. 50% of your time supporting the senior Operations managers with cost and profitability analysis to aid commercial decision-making (pricing, contribution margin analysis etc.) as well extracting, manipulating, interpreting and presenting data (such as monthly KPI) for monthly reporting and analysis. The other half of the time will be spent assisting the FD with more traditional controlling, budgeting and management reporting and possibly some financial accounting. The role will report directly to the FD.


What you'll need to succeed
A qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA) or possibly an exceptional part-qualified with experience of cost accounting, profit analysis, budgeting etc and want to develop these skills in a varied, challenging opportunity. You will have an analytical mindset and be comfortable working with large sets of data from different sources. You will possess advanced Excel skills (incl. pivot tables, lookups, indexmatch, graphs) and know how to present data in a meaningful way. Having worked with CRM and PowerBI tools is advantageous as would be an understanding of logistics, You should demonstrate commercial acumen and be able to explain concepts in a concise, understandable manner. If necessary, you follow up on open topics independently and with tenacity. You can juggle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced workplace.
