The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the team ASAP. This is a varied role where you will be involved with reporting, research and analytics for the accounting department. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Assist in month-end reporting, reconciliations and analysis
- Preparation of monthly management reports tracking financial performance against budget
- Analysis and commentary on management reports
- Preparation of cashflow forecasts
- Variance Analysis around actual results compared to the budget and forecasts for each profit and cost centre
- Preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, report variances, and regulatory reporting
- Analysing trends and financial performance across business units
- Workflow for offshore bookkeeping team to ensure accurate reporting
- Taking part in systems' and process improvement initiatives
- Previous commercial accounting experience (2+ years)
- Previous experience within the Financial Services Industry (ideal)
- CA or CPA qualified or part qualified
- BA within Commerce, Accounting or Finance
- Strong modelling and analysis skills
- Solid Excel and Xero experience (ideal)
- Solid communication skills - written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail
