Wood has an immediate requirement for a Financial Accountant to join our team based in Perth on a part time basis (4 days per week)

In this role you will work to ensure all accounting activities under your remit are completed accurately and within agreed time-frames, providing quality support to assist the business to maximise their partnering activities and service our clients effectively. You will undertake reporting of financial data internally to business stakeholders and the finance team across Australia.

This role is primarily responsible for preparation of the holding company management and statutory accounts, ensuring all accounting entries within the individual's area of control are recorded in an accurate and timely manner. This also involves the provision of timely reporting of financial data internally to business stakeholders. Furthermore, financial reporting will extend to forecasts, budgets and a "no surprises" outlook, together with ad-hoc financial analysis.

Accountabilities and responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Ensure that holding company accounting entries are prepared correctly and in line with corporate deadlines
  • Responsible for accurately recording, analyzing and reporting all Financial transactions and results
  • Intercompany Billing for shared costs and IFRS transactions, processing through Tagetik
  • Preparation of Balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations; daily / weekly bank reconciliations
  • Weekly cash forecast for Group Treasury; managing Government surveys
  • Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecast in conjunction with Business Management
  • Preparation of monthly consolidated BAS for the Australia Group and Quarterly BAS for the holding company
  • Dealing with adhoc ATO tax queries for Holding company
  • Responsibility for compliance with Financial management Framework within the individual's sphere of control
  • Liaising with external, internal and client auditors
  • Execution of various ad hoc financial analysis and tasks as and when required
  • Dealing with any other requests and support required by the Finance manager

It takes a diverse range of people to achieve the level of impact Wood has on the global energy sector. As a member of the team you will have/demonstrate:
  • Hold a Tertiary Degree in Accounting and CPA/CA qualified
  • Have a minimum of 1-3 years post qualification experience

Knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Proficient user of Excel
  • Demonstrated Financial Accounting experience in a similar role
  • Additional systems experience preferred but not essential (e.g. Oracle, Hyperion, Vision)
