Be part of the Risk Finance Treasury (RTF) Data Platform focussed on delivering an integrated Corporate Services data platform providing a single source of truth for timely and accurate data.

Deliver data outcomes to programs/platforms within Corporate Services and uplift the functional and compliance capability of the platform.

Currently delivering the BAU enhancements for the Core Treasury System ( CTS) and managing Data Services (DS) and treasury Risk Analytics and Reporting Services ( TRAS) for the Group Treasury and Risk System (GTRS).

The Financial Services Division partners with all areas of the Commonwealth Bank to provide specialist advice on financial management and strategy. This advice covers finance, audit, treasury, investor relations, security and property.

  • Gathers and analyses technical business requirements in business processes, through requirements elicitation, solutions identification, risk analysis and collaboration.
  • Identify relevant stakeholders, select appropriate techniques and processes to derive and manage requirements
  • Assess and document the current state of business functions and processes to identify and recommend improvements, including application of User and customer journeys
  • Lead requirements elicitation, including workshops to capture requirements. Constructively challenge stated requirements
  • Articulate requirements and communicate business and customer value to the project delivery / scrum team. Help establish success criteria.
  • Contribute to the conversion of business and customer needs into functional designs
  • Define problems and opportunities. Perform data analysis that can be used to support or challenge business initiatives
  • Support the project delivery / scrum team to break down work and translate requirements into functional specifications using appropriate method (e.g. backlog creation, user stories, as-built functional documentation etc.).
  • Contribute to assessment of dependencies and associated risk and compliance implications of requirements and solutions
  • Support business verification testing activities
  • Effectively communicating requirements to stakeholders, managing conflicts, issues and changes in order to ensure that stakeholders and project team members remain in agreement on solution scope

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry
  • Extensive experience gathering requirements from a broad array of stakeholders
  • Map "As-Is" user journeys and assist in developing "To-Be" experiences.
  • Document decisions and map to requirements
  • Conduct data analysis to support financial and data remediation teams.
  • Work with technical analysts as required to support the functional specifications and testing.
  • Maintain a backlog of initiatives sponsored by various stakeholders that is prioritised with a strong alignment to business value
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience dealing with business-oriented and senior level stakeholders
  • Strong values and passion for doing what's right for our customers to deliver on our purpose
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving ability with keen attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
