Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of their long standing exclusive client for a Trainee Accountant / Assistant Accountant to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This role will suit a recent graduate within Accountancy or someone already working within finance looking to take the next stage in their finance career to obtain professional qualifications. The role is based working in the office with all COVID regulations in place based in central Angus and comes with a highly competitive salary, holidays, pension & career progression.

Your new role

Reporting into the Management Accountant you will be trained to assist in a variety of finance duties including transactional accounting such as sales ledger, purchase ledger & bookkeeping to management accounting including monthly reports, journals, prepayments & accruals, p & l, balance sheet & year end. You will also be given time to complete your studies and gain valuable experience within Finance leading to a long term career as a Qualified Accountant. You will have the opportunity to become a well-rounded finance expert & trusted qualified accountant and you will be given the freedom to choose between ACCA & CIMA.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a dedicated and motivated individual who has a passion for accountancy & finance and to become a fully qualified Accountant. My client will consider recent graduates, experienced finance individuals looking for the next step to become qualified & may even consider a motivated & switched on School leaver.
