Fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager to join a successful and well-established retail business in Leeds. This is a varied and hands-on position, where you will have the opportunity to really make your mark and become a valued member of the team. This role would suit a qualified accountant seeking a broad finance manager position, with exposure to a well-known brand and real opportunity to progress your career moving forwards.

My client is a hugely successful retail business with an excellent reputation based in Yorkshire, who are at an exciting time in their evolution.

Description

As Finance Manager, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation and ownership of monthly management accounts including profit and loss and balance sheets
  • Preparation of monthly management information including variance analysis
  • Maintaining monthly inter-company balances and reconciling transactions
  • Preparation and ownership of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts including currency requirements
  • Coordinate and supply payroll data to external payroll provider
  • Support management team with timely financial information
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage audit process
  • Reviewing stock balances and working closely with sales team
  • Ownership of sales and purchase ledgers including customer debt collection
  • Reconciling retail and e-commerce sales transactions
  • Other ad hoc support to Management team as required

Profile

  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Proficient on Microsoft Excel
  • Prior management accounts experience
  • Technically strong background with a controls focus
  • Hands on and proactive
  • Team player with ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interest in branded goods/retail sector
