Accounts Assistant job in the manufacturing industry located in Manchester paying up to £12 per hour.

This well-established prestigious company based in Manchester are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a 3-month temporary basis. This is a great opportunity to gain relevant experience and work on an exciting new project.

Your new role?

The role consists of reviewing, monitoring and maintaining customer and supplier databases - input purchase invoices, set up new supplier accounts, and file supplier invoices and credit notes. Furthermore, you will be responsible for managing aged debts and overdue accounts, chasing these balances by email. Also handling all customer and supplier issues to ensure prompt payment. Within this role you will be producing monthly customer statements and other general accounting and administration matters. With the responsibility of providing continuous performance improvements throughout the systems and accounts process.

What you'll need to succeed?

You must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages and ERP or similar systems. Ideally, experience on Accounting software would be useful and accounts experience of 2 years, but this is not essential. Additionally, you must have excellent time managements skills and the ability to plan and prioritise workload. You must have excellent numeracy and literacy skills with the ability to work under-pressure and meet deadlines. A strong ability to communicate at all levels in person and over telephone will help you excel in the role.
