My client is a leading financial services organisation that needs no introduction. Due to growth, they are now seeking to add to their corporate accounting team.

Role Overview

As an integral team member of corporate accounting, you will primarily be responsible for driving the policy agenda for a specific product. Additional responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Build out the accounting policies for local Australian entities;
• Provide and drive the documentation of accounting policies and business issues, taking ownership of the creation and maintenance of accounting policy procedures;
• Take responsibility for all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, including month end close activities;
• Partner with key stakeholders, communicating new standards and rules effectively

Skills & Experience

To successfully secure this role, you will be degree and ideally CA/CPA Qualified (or working towards). You will also require:

• Previous experience operating in an external audit role including accounting policy;
• Experience gained within a large chartered or industry (financial services/managed fund) environment;
• Demonstrated accounting policy experience;
• Superannuation experience / knowledge preferred however not essential.
