The Role

Due to growth within the organisation they are now seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their small Accounting team. As the Finance Manager you will take control of all accounting aspects of the business and oversee one staff member.

The Finance Manager will be required to report to and advise the Directors on accounting issues and offer solutions to complex situations. It is essential that the Finance Manager can work in a fast pace, flexible environment where decisions are made on the fly.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Run fortnightly payroll
• Reconcile superannuation, payroll tax and PAYG monthly
• Manage employee records and entitlements
• Complete monthly management reporting
• Oversee all bank accounts
• Run annual budgets and update frequently
• Supervise Accounts Assistant and oversee AP/AR process
• Manage general ledger
• Manage cashflow and cashflow forecasting
• End of month and end of quarter reporting
• BAS management
• Advise management regularly on accounts activities

Experience

As the Finance Manager you must display strong general accounting experience, management of payroll, BAS, P&L and strong financial reporting is essential. The ability to work at a fast pace and be flexible with quick decision making is also essential.

Strong communication skills are also required as staff management and mentoring is part of this role. You will need to be confident, have resilience and the ability to put forward educated opinions.

Formal qualifications in Accounting or Commerce is essential.
