Job Details
To work as an integral part of the Group Internal Audit Team supporting the Head of Group Internal Audit, carrying out audit work to assess, monitor and report on the effectiveness of the Group's internal control environment. Lead responsibility for GIA's work relating to the Financial Services aspects of the Group - both the audit plan and ad hoc business support - and associated stakeholder relationships.

Description
The Audit Manager's key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
- Lead internal audit assignments as set out in the Group internal audit plan that relate to Financial Services (i.e. plan, carry out and report).
- Own and manage effective working relationships with key stakeholders (at Executive Board and Senior Leadership Team level).
- Report in to, and attend, key Financial Services governance fora.
- Contribute to influencing the Group to further improve its governance, risk management and internal control activities (in the context of clear business benefit).
- Assist in the development of the annual audit plan and GIA's end-of-year assessment on Governance, Risk Management & Internal Control.
- Complete risk-based, ad-hoc investigations and business support activities as required by the Head of Group Internal Audit.
- Play a meaningful part in the continuous improvement activity within the GIA function.
Profile
The successful Audit Manager should be;
- Qualified IIA, ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
- Broad-based audit experience across multiple business functions and areas (previous financial services experience required, and lending experience desirable).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong communicator (verbally and in writing).
- Comfortable in dealing with situations of ambiguity and/or change.
- Analytical approach to delivering pragmatic and practical solutions to control issues.
Job Offer
The Audit Manager will receive;
- Competitive salary of up to £57,000 depending on experience + bonus
