Management Accountant

Growing construction business seeking a Management Accountant to oversee commercial reporting and finance.

This reputable and growing construction business in Leicester have a long-standing reputation for providing high-quality services across the Midlands. With a number of key clients and ongoing projects, they have enjoyed a successful year and have further plans for growth. As a result they are seeking to appoint a Management Accountant to oversee a small team and be responsible for the commercial, management and project accounting for the business.

Your new role
Reporting into senior management, you will take responsibility for the production of the monthly management accounts pack, working with directors to oversee the budgets and forecasts whilst providing project accounting support to a wide range of ongoing contracts, including margin reporting, profitability analysis. You will also be responsible for supporting the external accountants at year end for statutory and regulatory reporting purposes.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a confident, enthusiastic communicator with a strong track record of providing commercial and management accounting support to support performance. You will be able to liaise with and support contracts and site managers and provide financial guidance and analysis. The ideal candidate will be a qualified professional although experience and engaging the right candidate is more important. Ideally you will have experience of working with the construction industry and have used COINS although strong systems and Excel will suffice.
