About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our onshore Accounts Payable team, who are responsible for providing the financial stewardship, control, risk management and insights into business performance. Reporting to the Accounts Payable and Back Office Treasury Lead, you will indirectly oversee the management of a team where you will drive productivity and provide leadership across the Accounts Payable function including supervising and overseeing the daily operations of a multi-functional accounts payable platform, vendor invoice management, corporate credit cards, travel, employee reimbursements any other relevant functions in order to ensure ongoing market participation and supply of necessary goods and services for EnergyAustralia operations.

Specifically, you will:
  • Oversee and indirectly manage an Offshore Accounts Payable team
  • Manage resolution of escalation enquiries as required
  • Oversee and manage Vendor Masterfile in S/4HANA.
  • Oversee and manage Financial Reconciliations.
  • Oversee and manage an automated expense management system, including corporate credit cards, travel and employee reimbursements.
  • Oversee and manage site relationships and process requirements, including as required presentations.
  • Maintain governance and risk minimisation
  • Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Provide continuous improvement


What we're looking for:

As an established Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will have a minimum 3 years experience supervising an AP team, high attention to detail, strong communication skills, ability to prioritise and deliver to agreed timelines and have intermediate MS Excel skills.

You will also need the following:
  • Minimum 3 years SAP S/4HANA (or Corporate ERP equivalent) accounts payable experience
  • Proficiency managing an automated AP system
  • Broad understanding of financial and accounting concepts
  • Expense system management (credit card and cash reimbursement)
  • Corporate Credit Card administration - online banking tools
  • High level of analytical, problem solving and resolutions management skills
  • Detailed understanding and awareness of broader issues and trends within a customer facing industry
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of accounts payable principles and understand general ledger and general accounting procedures
  • Accounting qualifications are highly desirable
