We seek a Commercial & Pricing Analyst to work closely with our Go To Market, Implementation, Technology and Delivery Leadership to deliver commercially sound and operationally robust insight. Models, pricing and guidance on new business opportunities. Commercial analysts play a key role in helping organisations develop sound business contracts and agreements. As an integral member of Cielo's Sales & Marketing function, responsible to our Solutions Director EMEA & APAC and working in collaboration with other Cielo functional stakeholders, the role holder will support our Sales, Client Development and Bid Management teams to ensure that Cielo remains competitive in the RPO business market. The role will be challenging and will exercise every part of your commercial finance nous as our Analyst is both the voice of reason, and inventive designer, that will pull together inputs from across our business in EMEA & APAC to lead the process of costing prospective new contracts and assisting in the creation of sustainable, and profitable, responses to new business opportunities. Needless to say, the pace varies, and some processes last for months, whilst other have deadlines that are, well, ambitious to say the least. However, this role is utterly indispensable within our business, and has the satisfaction of supporting a hugely talented, cross-functional team of specialists to fuel Cielo's growth globally. We do though, need you to bring some fairly specific experience to the table
- Analytical mindset with a keen eye for data.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise workload and meet fixed deadlines.
- Commercially minded, able to quickly grasp our commercial drivers and understand how these interplay with our cost and pricing models.
- Good problem solving mindset, able to use financial models to ask and answer questions and test scenarios.
- Confident and persuasive; able to make recommendations based on research and financial models.
- Advanced Excel; strong grasp of formulas, charts, macros, VBAs, with experience in creating cost and pricing models and 'what if' scenarios.
- Professional accounting qualification or degree in Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or Finance is desirable
- Commercial pricing and modelling in a people-centric, ideally international. matrix organisation
- Clear and concise communication skills - written, oral and numerical - with an enviable ability to convey complex concepts in clear and simple terms
- The ability to not only accept ambiguity, but embrace (and model) it!
- Charm, flexibility and creativity
- Collate and project-manage information from industry research, customer due diligence, Cielo operational / financial stats, and Cielo Service Delivery and Operational teams, to produce cost and pricing information to support the wider sales process.
- Perform evaluations & analysis, identify key themes, and translate into commercial insight for bid team, presenting reports that support the team in development of cost and pricing models.
- Develop an understanding of the competitive pressures that the business faces and their potential implications, and provide business alternatives/solutions, making recommendations to maximise margin, ensure competitive pricing, costing new business and benchmarking our services.
- Continually challenge current thinking, make recommendations on how to optimise business opportunities and minimise risk/cost to the business.
- Improve upon existing processes and create new models for pricing, costs, and other relevant business dealings. Maintain the integrity of current costs for future bids.
