Front Office Java Developer

Front Office - Java Developer - Asset Managers - Greenfield - DevOps and Cloud environment.


In your new position as a Front Office Java developer in the investment technology team, you will play a crucial role in the greenfield development of in-house systems and applications, which support the business in the Front Office. You will collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather business requirements and formulate plans for the following sprint. You will implement engineering best practises and champion a test driven development approach to software development. This is an opportunity to work in an agile, Cloud and DevOps environment with the latest technologies, at an asset managers with over £100 Billion AUM.



What you'll need to succeed

• Expert Java development skills
• A TDD approach to software development

Due to the greenfield nature of the work, there is great autonomy over tech selection - Expect modern Java, Restful API's, Microservices architecture, DevOps and Cloud environments.

Experience with JavaScript and/or Python programming preferred, but by no means essential.
