POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Budget Analyst works within a team that provides complex budget development, management, analysis and reporting services to support a designated client group. The successful candidate will have experience in finance, the ability to problem solve and work collaboratively in a team environment.
The Finance Branch provides advice and support to Health Ministers, the Secretary and staff across divisions and regions on financial, procurement and governance matters enabling them to meet organisational accountability and statutory compliance requirements and provide effective delivery of key services. The Branch leads and facilitates policy, planning and project work across the department in areas such as funding and accountability strategies, budget development and management, financial analysis, accounting and financial policy, performance reviews, procurement strategy and management, financial governance, appropriation control, special projects and a range of corporate services.
