We have a great opportunity for a highly ambitious, relationship driven and motivated professional to join our Internal Audit team. The BNZ internal Audit team is diverse and applies a modern risk based audit approach. In this newly created senior role you will report directly to the GM Audit and focus on strategic audit planning, business engagement, the development and oversight of audit engagements and deliver assurances that help the bank to be successful. We are looking for an individual who understands auditing best practise, can demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and uses their inquisitive mind to develop insightful audit outcomes. Key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading diverse teams to deliver high quality outcomes;
  • Ensuring assurance work reflects a strategic mindset and strong business understanding;
  • Growing and developing trusted stakeholder relationships;
  • Developing insights and thematic feedback to support the business;
  • Supporting the growth and development of the audit team.

This role will suit an experienced Senior Manager who is ready to take a step up into relationships management and strategic planning, or an experienced Audit Professional from within the Financial Services Industry or from other industries.

If you are someone who is adept at networking, stakeholder management and has previous experience at leading internal audit teams then this is a great opportunity for you!

What we need from you:
  • Extensive experience from a mixture of Internal Audit, consulting and/or risk management;
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
  • Experience working with a range of business stakeholders
  • Business Acumen from industry experience or exposure to commercial operations.
