The Raisebore Group of Companies is a privately owned company that have been in operation for over 25 years, providing specialised services to the mining industry across raiseboring, diamond drilling, and underground mining throughout Australia.

As our Group successfully continues to grow, we have a rare opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our team at an exciting time. As we commence transitioning our finance/accounting function to be fully centralised out of our Head Office in Adelaide, South Australia, this position will initially provide critical hands-on accounting support and leadership to the Group with a long-term goal of developing robust inter-entity financial transparency.

ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY
  • Champion all data entry, including overseeing the data entry of others and assist with improving these processes;
  • Responsible for end of month reconciliations and inter-entity journal entries;
  • Continuously review transactions and provide feedback on them to relevant stakeholders;
  • Be pro-active in learning and understanding our inter-entity systems and work with internal staff to continuously improve integration for financial reporting purposes;
  • Assist with payroll-related tasks;
  • Asset and Inventory management including maintaining asset and inventory schedules;
  • Debtor and Creditor reconciliations and reporting to management;
  • Maintain and develop critical financial reports, analysing them and providing regular feedback to senior management;
  • Be willing to assist with other tasks and projects as required.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
  • Be degree and CA or CPA qualified;
  • Strong professional experience within the mining/resources industry will be an advantage;
  • Persistence and resilience to achieve challenging goals;
  • A confident and effective leadership style with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of a business, including remote workforces;
  • Strong financial analysis skills;
  • Advanced MYOB experience;
  • Strong all-round computer skills;
  • A pro-active and positive can-do attitude!
