About the role

Hudson have exclusively partnered with our client, a large commercial business to assist with the recruitment of their next Senior Commercial Analyst. This is a dynamic and varied position where you'll provide strategic advice across the business to support with pricing, account management and contracts with a focus on helping the business grow.

As a trusted advisor to a broad range of stakeholders, you'll need a strong commercial mindset, core understanding of accounting and be able to lead commercial initiatives. You'll be a proactive self-starter looking for your next opportunity to develop and grow within an organisation.

Key deliverables for this role include:

• Providing sound & strategic commercial advice across a broad range of different activities and portfolios of the business
• Providing analytical support to the pricing & customer insights teams
• Developing accurate and efficient financial models to understand the profitability of various offerings to customers and develop tracking to understand ongoing contract viability
• Researching, developing and providing financial and commercial change initiatives aligned to the business strategy
• Promoting a collaborative, high performing and empowered culture within the team that promotes innovation
• Partnering with key stakeholders to elevate the commercial and financial maturity of teams

The ideal candidate

• Degree qualified in Commerce, Accounting or a similar discipline with 5+ years post qualified experience
• CA / CPA qualification or another relevant post graduate qualification, or working towards
• Ability to review contracts with both customers and suppliers in a manner which protects the company and to fairly allocate risk
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills
• A proactive and positive nature, always looking to find solutions and improve processes
• Excellent stakeholder engagement & communication skills
