A rare opportunity has become available for a Financial Analyst in a word leading manufacturing firm. Based in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, the role will run for three months initially with a potential for permanency thereafter.

My client is at the forefront of manufacturing in the health care space and in recent times has seen a surge in demand for their products. Currently they are undergoing a team restructure and are looking for a Financial Analyst to join. The role will report directly to the Finance Manager and run for three months initially, with a potential for permanency thereafter.

Description

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with analysing and consolidating the spend from different departments and identifying trends to manage expenses and purchase orders
• Creating budget templates alongside the finance team
• Analysing Sales Revenue and project costing when required
• Preparing month-end journals and reconciliations when required
• Ad-hoc variance analysis and investigation as required (Actuals vs. Budget / Forecasts)
• Assisting with month-end completion: this includes month end journals, Balance Sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, forecasts and commentary
• Partnering with Operational departments (Engineering, Supply Chain & Logistics, Operations) and reviewing invoices & expense reimbursements
• Other ad hoc projects

Profile

The successful candidate will:

• Be immediately available to work
• Be CPA/CA qualified and have the relevant tertiary qualifications
• Great communication skills
• Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLookups, Pivot tables)
• Previous experience in the manufacturing sector
