The Role

The role of Finance Business Partner - Supply chain is a newly created role for the company. The role will report directly to the Commercial Finance Manager and be part of a commercial team that supports the operations of the business. This is an opportunity to develop this role as the Board is looking for value from the role. The objective of the role includes:
  • Provide visibility to the logistics processes of this large nationwide, multi-site business
  • Review & support inventory policy, inventory accuracy & holding optimisation
  • Identify and contribute to the execution of improvement opportunities in the logistics and supply chain space; from a cost management & operational performance perspective
  • Develop reporting insights and report within on performance
  • Drive visibility and insights in planning & forecasting activities
  • Provide accounting and analytical support to the Commercial Finance team and broader Finance function
  • Provide /write Board papers in conjunction with the Commercial FM to enhance the visibility of this aspect of the business, making recommendations and optimising the business's logistics and supply chain processes.


Your Profile

To be considered for this role we are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner who has worked in the logistics and supply chain space. You must be able to demonstrate an ability to partner stakeholders from both an Executive level as well as the warehouses and branches. It will be your ability to critically evaluate current business practices and make recommendations to have optimisation of this function. You will need to have worked in either a nationwide business with multiple locations and understand either a 3PL or DC logistics operations. Obviously you will need to have strong analytical ability combined with your ability to interrogate data. Experience with Power BI is a distinct advantage.
