Assistant Controller

Responsibilities/Duties

• Prepare and review consolidated and subsidiary level financial statements
• Prepare/review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Create/modify reports within report writing software
• Assist with preparation of financial packages to executive team and/or external parties
• Serve as one of primary contacts for external audits
• Assist with special projects from Controller/CFO or other departments
• Manage a group of 5-8 individuals

Required Skills

• Solid knowledge of GAAP
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (financial closure, etc.)
• Financial reporting experience (drafting and reviewing financial statements)
• Well-organized and ability to prioritize
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Required Experience

• 3-5 years accounting experience, with 1+ year in supervisory role
• BSBA in Accounting
• CPA
• Solid knowledge of GAAP
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (financial closure, etc)
• Financial reporting experience (drafting and reviewing financial statements)
• Well-organized and ability to prioritize
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Required Education

• BS Degree in Accounting
