Our client is a proactive, forward thinking, Accounting and Financial Advisory business focussed on providing holistic financial and wealth creation services to its clients.

Due to expansion, a new role is now available for a Junior Accountant to join a collaborative team and build strong client relationships in their modern Milton office.

The Junior Accountant is a key part of the team who works closely with and assists the Senior Client Managers in providing a range of services including Taxation, Financial Statements and Business Advice.

Your day-to-day duties and responsibilities will involve:

• Preparing draft BAS, IAS, Financial Statements, Depreciation Schedules and Income Tax Returns;
• Assisting with the flow of information between clients and the team;
• Following up on client enquiries;
• Entering data into online accounting software;
• Participating in training and maintaining knowledge of relevant taxation, legislation and rulings; and
• Maintaining files and records.

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

• A Certificate in Accounting (minimum)
• Basic experience in preparation of Financial Statements and Tax Returns
• Basic knowledge of taxation legislation
• Basic knowledge in Xero, Myob and Quickbooks
• Intermediate level of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• A passion for excellent client service
• Willingness to learn and grow with the business (potential to move into other areas of the business)
• A motivated and positive team player.
