Management Accountant

Specialist manufacturer in Hinckley seeking Management Accountant to take ownership of the a business unit.

Your new company
This specialist Manufacturing business in Hinckley are seeking a hands-on Management Accountant to oversee one of their subsidiary businesses, reporting into the Head of Finance.

Your new role
You will take responsibility for the financial management of a growing specialist area and your duties will include;

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts; P&L, Balance Sheet (including reconciliations) & Cash Flow
• Daily and weekly KPI's, including customer sales analysis compared to budget/forecast and prior year
• Control the Fixed Assets register
• Reconciling all bank accounts and assigning sales invoices on to the company invoice financing facility
• Review quotations and report all production variances - contribution reporting & standard cost deviation
• Stock control - valuation and aged analysis. Ability to report, discuss and resolve "distressed" stock with senior management
• Preparation and processing of quarterly VAT return
• Control standard costs for materials and labour; report on purchase price variance (PPV)
• Assisting the FD with statutory accounts/external audits; budgets & forecasts; cash flow projections
• Attend production meetings, raising issues, giving and receiving relevant information to aid efficiency

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a hands-on, energetic candidate, keen to work with operations to drive performance and reporting, Candidates can be qualified, currently studying or qualified by experience but would ideally have experience of operating within a manufacturing environment.
