This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with strong technical skills and multi site financial control experience. The position will be working closely with multiple stakeholders and managing 3 direct reports.

My client are a very well known name and have an excellent reputation on the market both internally and externally. They are a major multinational FMCG based in Wiltshire.

Description

The main responsibilities within this role are:

  • Lead the planning, animation and monitoring of Financial Control activities: pre-closing, closing, reporting, audit
  • Coordinate Business Services and Supply Point Finance to deliver an accurate and timely monthly closing process, including validation of all closing options and risks & opportunity identification
  • Review and validate monthly reporting (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow and supporting schedules) and bi-annual consolidation packages
  • Coordinate the preparation of the financial statements for local / legal requirements
  • Ensure compliance of financial statements with Group rules for management accounts and local rules for Statutory accounts
  • Lead external audit process for UK & IR supply points
  • Set up and follow up KPIs to monitor and improve the efficiency of the closing process and other GL activities. Develop Close Policies, Procedures, Standards and Templates
  • Interact with the wider Finance team to improve inter-team processes and address any control deficiencies
  • Cut-off procedures are clearly defined and strictly applied: revenue recognition and cost accounting are in the right accounting period
  • Review monthly GL reconciliations ensuring all GLs are reconciled, present bi-annual balance sheet reviews, lead on identification and resolution of risks & opportunities
  • Lead relationship with Supply Point Finance including finance directors
  • Lead relationship with internal and external auditors

Profile

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

  • A full and recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Understanding the impact of transactions on the company's financial statements
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Control processes, systems (inc SAP) and data
  • Continuous improvement skills
  • Ability to prioritise, delegate and arbitrate
  • A business partnering and service-oriented mindset
  • An analytical mindset

Job Offer

An excellent package including car allowance and bonus is on offer. Day rate candidates will be considered (INSIDE IR35) but the client preference is for this to be a salaried FTC.
