This is a great opportunity for a Graduate with a related degree, or someone who has experienced gained within a financial environment who is looking to progress their career as an analyst. The successful candidate will support the business in the planning and analysis of our retail performance. You'll work with the wider team and key stakeholders to ensure that reporting is accurate and enables the business to make key decisions.

Main duties & responsibilities

Production of the weekly and periodic reports for the different functions of the business

Analysis of initiatives and trials, making informed recommendations based off performance trends

Supporting with the production of the retail budgets and forecasts

Ad-hoc analysis as required

Support with the creation and maintenance of our suite of PowerBI reporting dashboards

Liaising with colleagues throughout the Commercial and Retail teams to determine how we can help their decision making with reporting and analysis

Supporting other members of the commercial finance team with strategic insight

Your skills & experience

Experience of producing periodic reports

Demonstrable Excel data analysis skills

Experience of analysing datasets to identify trends and presenting the findings in clear to understand formats

Experience of building relationships across a business

Experience of improving on existing working practices

Experience of delivering consistently good work in a fast-paced environment

The successful applicant will be passionate about data and how it can be used to support our business, you'll enjoy working on new ideas and leading the way when implementing them. The ability to adopt a common sense / logical approach to mathematical reasoning is essential and you'll display strong attention to detail. We look for people how have excellent communication skills and, a common sense approach and ability to form relationships at all levels of the business.

In return this role offers full training & support with longer term scope for career development, ideally you'll have a strong academic background and have, or be working towards CIMA/ACCA.

Summary

This role is a full time, permanent position based from our Nottingham head office with longer term opportunity for remote / office based working.
