Divisional Finance Controller (WFH)

DIVISIONAL FINANCE CONTROLLER: SOLIHULL: £400 - £450 PER DAY


Hays are currently working in partnership with a £2 billion T/O manufacturing company, we are recruiting for a Divisional Finance Controller for one of their largest Divisions, initially on a 3 month contract - also this is likely to extend.

You will report to the Finance Director to provide consolidation and management of monthly reporting, weekly forecasts, quarterly outlooks and annual budgeting at a domain level. Additionally you will be responsible for maintaining a SOx compliant financial controls framework, the submission of statutory accounts and being a key finance business partner to ensure delivery of the business strategy and BU budget by providing insight, constructive challenge and strategic planning.

Key duties include:

• To be responsible for managing the business planning cycle (Budgeting and Forecasting) across the BU and implementing rolling forecasts with continual assessment of opportunities and risks.
• To lead the development and production of highly insightful MI to facilitate and support the planning and decision making processes.
• To lead the development and continuous improvement of Governance and Controls strategy.
• To lead the execution of the business cycle and consolidation of BU results (month end, budgeting and forecasting) and provide timely, insightful interpretation, commentary and analysis of the business performance and accountable forecasts to underpin effective decision making and identify opportunities to improve profitability and cash flow.
• Lead coordination of support cost reporting ensuring standardisation of approach across the product line finance teams.
• Implement effective balance sheet reviews with product line finance teams and have a strong focus on cash and working capital management, fixed assets and provisions, driving down overdue debts and work in progress. Drive compliance with centrally agreed governance, accounting policies and controls to ensure financial data integrity.

This role will be remote working and inside scope of IR35 at £400 per day PAYE or £450 per day Umbrella.
