Assistant Accountant (Maternity Cover)

Assistant Accountant maternity cover, Taunton not for profit, upper £20k's depending on experience

Your new company
You will be working for a not for profit based in the Somerset town of Taunton. This organisation has a strong national client base and provides support to a large cross section of society.

Your new role
You will be working as an Assistant Accountant on a maternity leave contract of around 13 months. Your responsibilities will include supporting the finance manager in the preparation of financial and management accounts. This will include some transactional processing as well as the higher level tasks.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need experience in a similar role, in either a not for profit or commercial environment, You will be well organised with excellent time management, able to prioritise your tasks and synchronise with your team proficiently. Ideally you will have an accounting qualification with either the AAT, or be part qualified in CIMA or ACCA, but competence trumps qualification and this will not be a deal breaker.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a healthy salary in the upper £20k's, depending on experience and competence at certain levels. Full details can be discussed upon successful application.
