Associate Financial Planner/Tax Preparer

As an FSG Associate Financial Planner/Tax Preparer you will be responsible for preparing client taxes, providing client service to ensure an accurate, consistent, and optimal experience, and supporting lead advisors and operational functions. Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares tax returns and tax projections using Lacerte Tax software
• Supports client service by setting up new client accounts, transferring assets at various custodians (e.g. Charles Schwab & Co.); reviewing client transactions and assisting four financial advisors
• Prepares agendas and client reports prior to client review meetings; compiles post-meeting notes and executes post-meeting tasks
• Assists with preparing investment recommendations, rebalancing client portfolios & executing trades on various platforms

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution + 3 years of client-service/client-facing experience in a professional work environment, or minimum of 6 years of experience in related role without undergraduate degree
• Tax preparation experience using Lacerte Tax software or similar program desired
• CPA or Enrolled Agent designation(s) preferred; or willingness to earn within specified timeframe

• Self-starter with desire for continuous learning
• Quick to learn new technology and comfortable with change and ambiguity
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of an organization - and a desire/ability to work successfully in a small company environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
